Your session will be completely centered around your little ones! Having a good experience is so important when exposing kids to a new things. A family session is no different! If your children love to be wild, let's be wild! If they are reserved and soft spoken, soaking up those cuddles is such a great way to showcase your family's sweet connection!
If your child becomes off task, that's perfectly normal and totally okay! We will let them explore and follow their lead. These make for some of the best photos in a session!
A $400 session fee (retainer) is collected to book your family session. Your paid session fee is added to your final collection selection. Something I often heard from my clients was that they never got around to printing their photos from their session. For years their photos were sitting waiting to be seen and displayed. I realized that I wasn't serving my clients in the way they needed to be served. Because of this, every collection comes with at least a small amount of print credit with their session. Print credit is used through my professional printing company within your gallery page. If you don't wish to have prints made, then you can purchase additional digitals with your print credit.
Between 3-4 weeks you'll see all your beautiful images of all the memories we created together! All these photos will be given to you through a slideshow. You'll have slideshow access for 24 hours after you first view the gallery. Once the 24 hours are up, you will have a good idea which collection is best for you and your family. You'll be prompted to select one of the following final collections at this time and pay for the remainder of your collection. I love this option for the fact of you not having to commit to a collection until AFTER you've seen your images!

I'm based out of Woodland Park, Colorado! In February 2023 we moved from the PNW to beautiful Colorado. It's been one of the best moves! While I'm located in Woodland Park, I also photograph families from Colorado Springs and surrounding areas!
I love to travel! Let me know where and when and I can let you know an estimate on what it'll cost. Investment will be cost of your session plus travel and lodging for one night.
The best time to book is early Spring through fall. Most people try to book fall sessions, but my personal favorite is Spring for faster delivery times and to beat the holiday rush!
No, I don't deliver every image from your session. During a family session I typically take about 600 photos. This has a combination of blurred photos due to the movement involved in my sessions to photos with family members blinking. I typically deliver anywhere between 30-60 images from a session.
I don't give my clients RAW images from their session. RAW images are a file type that most people don't have the ability to view on their computer. RAW images are dull, flat and meant to be edited.
I love Pinterest too! While Pinterest is a great place to gather inspiration for overall feel and mood for your session, I don't recreate images from Pinterest. Feel free to send me an inspiration Pinterest board so I can get an overall feel for your ideal session.
I usually look at the weather the night before to decide whether or not it's suitable to shoot in. In the case of bad weather rescheduling is not a problem at all.
If you need to cancel your session unfortunately the reservation retainer is non-refundable. Any additional funds will be refunded to you if you're canceling within two weeks of your session. In the case of an emergency, your retainer can be applied to your next session to take place within a year from the date of cancelation.
I open my books about three months in advance. I typically book up two months in advance.
Included edits are color adjustments, exposure adjustments and anything in the "two week rule". The two week rule is anything that would be gone in two weeks I edit out. Example: blemishes, scrapes, bruises, etc.
The best time to take photos is either sunrise or 60 minutes before sunset.
