Colorado Springs is the second most populous city in Colorado, and it’s also a popular destination for many people looking for beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. You may have heard of Colorado being known as one of the easiest places to get married, along with one of the main elopement hubs in America. While elopements are a huge deal around Colorado, I want to focus on the big wedding venues today instead. These big weddings will always have a place in my heart. Mainly because big weddings were the thing to do when I first dove into the photography industry over a decade ago. If you’re planning on getting married in Colorado and want a big wedding to celebrate with family and friends, there is plenty of venues to choose from! In this post I’ve covered a variety of types of venues to fit all types of couples!
I recently asked on a bridal page about which venues have been couple’s favorites and this helped navigate which venues I was going to showcase. I’ve added a link to each venue for you to be able to see their venues website directly from this post!
Some favorite wedding venues around Colorado Springs are listed below:
Spruce Mountain Events is nestled in the foothills of Colorado. Located only thirty minutes North of Colorado Springs in Larkspur, Colorado. This ranch is completely breathtaking! The venue is on 450 acres and has a rustic mountain vibe. Its an elegant high end venue that is sure to wow your guests. The venue is said to have a ‘rustic elegance’ to it. Many Couples have raved about this venue and Wedding Planners highly recommend Spruce Mountain Events as well.
A unique aspect to this space is the variety of ceremony locations for you to choose from. Another great benefit in choosing this venue for your wedding day is the indoor capabilities. If you know Colorado, then you know our afternoons in the Spring and Summer can be unpredictable. This venue is perfect if your want to prepare for the unexpected.
Crooked Willow Farms is situated in Larkspur, Colorado. Larkspur is thirty minutes South of Colorado Springs. This wedding venue is unique to the others mentioned in this post because of the overall feel this venue has to offer. This property has a cute red barn where the barn’s loft windows have barn doors that open up. Bride’s love to get a photograph of their dress hanging in the window outlook. One of my favorite things about this building is the beautiful brick Silo off the corner of the barn. While the exterior looks rustic, the interior is beautifully modern. This venue also is great for Colorado’s unpredictable weather!
Located in the Colorado foothills only twenty minutes North of the heart of Colorado Springs is this wedding venue, Hearth House. Nestled in the gorgeous town of Monument, Colorado. It’s known for it’s beautiful grounds along with it’s affordability for what is offered. You and your guests will fall in love with their Rocky Mountain Views! I love the barn’s neutral color palette making it easy to add your own touches on your wedding day.
Flying Horse Ranch is a luxury wedding venue located north of Colorado Springs. It’s a cattle and equestrian ranch out in the country. This venue is on 1400 acres of rolling hills farm land. This wedding venue is perfect for the rustic country couple!

The Pinery at the Hill is a great option for weddings in Colorado Springs. It’s located just south of the city, so it’s a beautiful location without being too far away from everything you might need on your big day. They offer several different wedding packages that include everything you need for your ceremony and reception: catering, tables and chairs, cake, drinks (both alcoholic and non), flowers and more.
The space itself is great because there are multiple rooms available to rent out. Each room has its own feel with different styles of decor.
