I had the privilege to photograph the Hagens Family in one of my all time favorite photo locations. This location is known for its views with the majestic Pikes Peak in the distance. This location is covered under my Pikes Peak Collection.
Styling the Perfect Outfits
One of the things that made this session go from great to amazing was the family’s choice of outfits. As a client of mine, they were offered a variety of clothing options out of my client closet. When Kadezjha asked about potential dresses for herself I was over the moon when a shipment came in from We Are Reclamation with a dress that would go perfectly with the rest of her family. If you don’t know about this dress designer, her work is incredible! This dress is a beautiful off the shoulder two piece with a flowy bottom. It is stunning to photograph! The best part about this dress you ask? It fits sizes XXS-XXL! Both little girls also took advantage of using my client closet. The result was a beautifully coordinated ensemble that up leveled their photos.
Complimenting Outfits to Location
Outfits that complimented each other for a family session is a fun challenge. For this session, we aimed for a neutral color palette with pops of a beautiful orange brown. These colors complimented the location of this session by bringing out the warm tones of the grass and contrasting with the blue mountain tones of Pikes Peak.
I had the pleasure of working with an amazing family of five! I had the best time following getting their sweet cuddles and their unique personalities during the session.
